Openings
FMS Director Barb Walters (violin, viola, beginning piano):
On Mondays, I have 6:00 pm or after open. I could take adult or homeschooled students in the early afternoon on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, I have openings at 5:45 and after. If you want lessons and can't come at any of these times, please give me a call or email and let's talk!
All my string students meet together in a large group seven times over the school year. This is always on a late afternoon on a Tuesday. The group lesson is in lieu of private lessons that week for the strings. Check my calendar for specific dates.
We're having a great year. We are preparing for our final concert in May. This program will include some show music and our favorite classics.
Grant Hodges (acoustic guitar, mandolin):
I have openings on Wednesdays at 9 am, 10:30 am, 11 am, 2:30 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm. On Thursdays at 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm. If you have always wanted to play the guitar, I want to help you live that dream. It's a lot of fun, and I teach acoustic guitar skills that are useful in all guitar styles.
Katie Neer (piano):
I absolutely love teaching piano lessons! Piano is one of my passions. I will teach adults or children, at my home or yours, whatever is most convenient for you. I have the following openings:
- Monday evenings at 5:00 and 5:30.
- Tuesdays from 1:00 to 5:00
- Wednesdays from 4:00 to 7:00
- Thursdays from 9:00 to 4:00 (except for 12-1)
Catheryn Van Kley, assistant teacher (piano, acoustic guitar):
Music is a big part of my life and I love getting the chance to teach it to others. If you've ever wanted to learn the piano or guitar, I have room for you on: Monday 3:30-4pm and 4-4:30pm; Tuesday 11-11:30am (great for a homeschooled student or adult); Friday 3:30-4pm. If none of these times work for your schedule and you'd still like to take lessons, feel free to contact me (through the studio) and we might be able to work something out.
