Scholarships



Helping Hand Scholarships: These scholarships are designed to give a tuition discount to families who could use a helping hand. Current students may also apply for a one-time need to help with books and supplies. Recipients will be notified privately. Scholarship fund is limited but we will do our best to help.       If you would like to donate to the studio scholarship fund, you can drop a donation into the jar at a recital or mail a check to: FMS, PO Box 621, Lebanon, IN 46052. Just write "studio scholarship" in the memo line. Your donation will be acknowledged.

College Scholarship: A $250 annual scholarship is provided by Family Music Studio of Lebanon and will be administered through the Community Foundation of Boone County. It will be given to a high school senior who fulfills the following requirements:

      Resident of Boone County
      Graduated in good standing from public, private or homeschool
      Has been granted admission to college in any major, or undeclared major


      In addition, applicants are required to submit an essay, no longer than 1 page, telling about their past experiences as a musician and their future plans to remain active musically. Committee will be looking for dedication to an active musical life and a commitment to serving the community musically. Preference will be given to Family Music Studio students.

To make a donation to the scholarship fund, make your check out to Community Foundation, put "Family Music Studio Scholarship" in the memo line, and mail to: Community Foundation of Boone County, PO Box 92, Zionsville, IN 46077.

2011 College Scholarship Recipient: Alexander Young of Zionsville Community High School. Alex is a saxophone player who plans to pursue a degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Through music, he wants to help people.

The 2011 scholarship was in the amount of $500 with the help of a donation from Anthony Robbins, CPA, Lebanon.
