Scholarships
College Scholarship: A $250 annual scholarship is provided by Family Music Studio of Lebanon and will be administered through the Community Foundation of Boone County. It will be given to a high school senior who fulfills the following requirements:
Resident of Boone County
Graduated in good standing from public, private or homeschool
Has been granted admission to college in any major, or undeclared major
In addition, applicants are required to submit an essay, no longer than 1 page, telling about their past experiences as a musician and their future plans to remain active musically. Committee will be looking for dedication to an active musical life and a commitment to serving the community musically. Preference will be given to Family Music Studio students.

Director’s Scholarship: This scholarship will be in the amount of 50% off of each month’s lesson tuition for the 09-10 studio year (excluding summer lessons). There are no applications. FMS staff will award the scholarship to one student, to be announced at the 2010 final concert. We will select a student who shows promise, prepares well for lessons and exhibits enthusiasm for his or her instrument. The 09-10 recipient is Kayla, viola student of Rebecca Conway and piano student of Margaret Warburton.
Helping Hand Scholarships: These scholarships are designed to give a tuition discount to families who could use a helping hand. Applications will be available in July with the fall registration sheets. There are four scholarships in the amount of $25 off of tuition each month August 2009 through May 2010 (ten months).
