Student Teacher & Assistant Teacher Program
Family Music Studio gives talented older students an opportunity to learn how to teach. Every professional teacher started out inexperienced. Experience comes from study and practice. Family Music Studio's Student Teacher and Assistant Teacher Program gives students an opportunity to study and practice teaching in a supportive and structured environment.
Requirements for FMS Student Teacher: Submit application and recommendation, continue taking lessons on primary instrument, abide by FMS standards and policies, be enthusiastic and willing to learn. Observe lessons taught by mentor teacher. Mentor teacher will also observe lessons taught by student teacher. Communicate with mentor.
Requirements for FMS Assistant Teacher: Same as above plus two or more years of successful teaching.
All appointments of Student or Assistant Teachers are at discretion of FMS Director.
